Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private, non-profit organization established in 1942 to assist Soldiers and their Family members in emergency financial situations due to no fault of their own. “ĪER wants to deter Soldiers from using payday loans, pawn shops, and title loan companies who are not looking out for their best interests. “The intent of the Quick Assist Program is to allow leaders to directly respond to valid financial needs of their Soldiers”, states Merilee Nevins, USAG Stuttgart Army Emergency Relief Officer. The AER Officer will confirm eligibility before issuing the funds. The Soldier needs to bring the signed AER Form 600, valid Military ID Card, and his/her Leave and Earnings Statement to the AER Office. The Commander/First Sergeant will then sign/approve AER Form 600 and send the Soldier to the AER Office (Army Community Service) located in Bldg. The Soldier will be interviewed by the Commander/First Sergeant who will verify the financial need. Expanded Eligibility to Army National Guard and U.S. The Soldier completes AER Form 600, the Company Commander & First Sergeant Quick Assist Program Application, and submits to the Company Commander or First Sergeant for review. Army Families who require financial assistance will no longer be serviced at Air Force or Space Force installations.
